Kill 2 Birds with one Link
I was having some trouble coming up with a topic so i decided to write an article about how to build back links. I know i have already touched on the subject by writing about different types of back links and how to obtain them. Today i am going to talk about the most effective ways to build back links and how to put it into practice.
What is the best type of back links? a backlink that is on a high traffic page? an easy to get back link ? A relevant back link? Well all 4 are important. That is why directory submissions are a big waste of time and no one visits them and they are most likely not relevant to your site. You olny get the advantage of the link and no traffic. Why not kill 2 birds with one stone and use a try to obtain backlinks on pages with traffic. That way you end up with traffic and a backlink. The easiest places to get these types of backlinks are socialbookmarking sites, forums and blogs. Directories submissions and Reciprocal linking are out dated.
I don’t agree recip links are out-dated. Despite what is often said on public forums, I don’t think they have any less SEO relevance than a 1 way link, IF they come from a genuinely on-topic site.
And are still the easiest way to get on-topic high quality links to your site.
I’d prefer 1 recip link in a good spot on a good tech blog, than 20 blog comments with 1 way links from that same domain.
Yes reciprocal linking can still have its place but what amount of success are you going to have when requesting them? Other linking building strategies can be implemented a lot quicker. Your links will be in more places and have a higher chance of getting clicked on. They may be less quality for SEO purposes but i think they will have a higher click through rate than a reciprocal link in a side bar. When starting out you will have a tough time getting reciprocal links. some Reciprocal links are on pages deep with in the site on a link page which is not great. Its all about making the most out of your time.
a backlink on a high traffic page is good as that page will get more traffic and so will ur site get traffic
I’ve noticed too that directories are mostly useless for the purpose of obtaining clicks, but I’ve read somewhere that search engines consider links on directories as very important because the links are actually verified for relevancy by the directory ‘censors’.
What’s your opinion on this?
A directory moderated by a human does not mean search engines will consider them important. A bot can not tell if the directory is human controlled or automatic. Some of the large popular directories may be more important than a regular website. Some directories will still pass you your in bound link and positive keyword density from the anchor text. I think it is better to double my efforts by getting links in places people might actually click on them.
I heard that doing blog comment in order to get backlink on our site is good, but it’s better if we do blog comment on the site with same niche as our site.
That’s called kill 2 bird with 1 action.
I agree with you. Social Bookmarking the best way to generate traffic and earn quality back links.

This is very nice step!Nowadays I hear a lot about building links and increasing link popularity specially thru blogsites. Can anybody tell me the best approach? Why one should use Blogitive when anybody can put a blog?

You are absolutely correct, using the directory submission is completely waste of time. Blog and forums are good source to get backlinks.
Blogs, forums & social networking sites are best way of getting backlink with targeted traffic and one way links.
I agree and this is very practical. Let me add this statement, having 100 backlinks from PR0 blogs is just like nothing than having 10 backlinks from blogs with PR4 and above.

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
